Blue and White Spring Tablescape

Don’t you just love spring?  The  bright colors, beautiful flowers, birds chirping and all that sunshine.  Spring is one of my favorite times of year and the season always pushes my creativity to new heights.  Over the weekend as I was moving the accessories around, the creative bug hit and I decided to pull together a spring tablescape featuring blue and white.

It’s been a while since I’ve shared seasonal table decor with you so I’m excited to unveil my Blue & White Spring Tablescape!

Blue and white tablescapes have always caught my eye but until recently I never owned enough blue and white decor to create one of my own table setting.  Over the last year or so I’ve collected a handful of blue and white porcelain pieces and together with some new items I picked up recently, my spring table was easy to pull together.  Let’s take a look…

The goal for my tablescape was to crate layers of pattern and color.  I used several larger blue and white pottery pieces to create the centerpiece statement and used blue and white china for the place settings.

Since flowers are key to any tablescape, I stopped by Costco and picked up a large bouquet of mixed colored roses. Aren’t Costco flowers just the best?!  I placed long stems in a large vase in the center of the table and added smaller white vases on each side, also filled with roses.  The pink, red and white roses added the perfect pop of color to the table.

Don’t you just love this blue and white tablecloth?  The minute I saw it, I knew I had to have it and for less than $15.00 I couldn’t resist the price.  The pattern is really fresh and the fabric is thick which allows the tablecloth to drape nicely over the table.

Since there were red rose in the bouquet, I used red monogram cloth napkins to highlight that color and give the table added impact.  The napkins are one of several DIY projects I incorporated into the tablescape and I’ll share the super easy details on how I created them tomorrow.

There are a flock of birds outside my bedroom window and their constant chirping wakes me up every morning so I decided to add a few birds into the decor as a nod to spring.

The bamboo silverware is from Neiman Marcus.  I shared it on Instagram a couple of weeks ago and have to tell you again what a great deal this flatware is!   Go check it out.

The bird’s nest has been in my stash for years and the blue eggs I recently picked up from Hobby Lobby.  The birds are also from Hobby Lobby and once I take the tablescape apart, I’ll be using them in a gift wrap project I’m working on.

I’ve had the woven placemats for years and recently dug them out of a box in the garage.  They add the perfect touch of warmth and texture to the table.

I add the abstract pattern salad servers as a fun color pop. They are from Pier 1.

As with any tablescape I create, I incorporated different patterns and texture into this decor to bring the table to life.  There are different shades of blues, different woven textures and a mix of patterns…Color + Texture + Pattern is the combination to a winning tablescape.

I just love the way my blue and white table turned out and can’t wait to sit down to enjoy Easter dinner with the family.
