Christmas Door Basket with Royal Design Studios

One of the things I love to do most around the holidays is to craft a few new decorative pieces for my home.  And I love trying new products so when the opportunity came up to partner with Royal Design Studios I jumped at it.

You probably know Royal Design Studio from their amazing collection of home decor and decorating stencils, but may not know that they also have a wonderful selection of holiday design stencils.

One of the new collections they have this year was designed by the creative and talented blogger Jennifer Rizzo.  The collection includes 16 unique designs and two of the stencils were the perfect jumping off point for my latest holiday project…

A FESTIVE CHRISTMAS DOOR BASKET 

When I attended the Country Living Fair in October I had a flat back basket on my shopping list and lucked out when I found this one. The minute I saw it I knew I wanted to use it to make a holiday door basket for my front door.

To make the basket wrap, I used the Gift Tag 2 Christmas Stencil and Classic Letter Christmas Stencil to add a design to a piece of red canvas fabric.

  

Since my Christmas decor theme this year is red tartan plaid with black and white, I trimmed the red fabric wrap with plaid ribbon and a black pom-pom trim.

The wrap is secured with velcro so it can be removed and the I can use the basket for other occasions.

The Royal Design Studio holiday collection has lots of amazing designs that can be used on a variety of materials including furniture, flooring and textiles.  Here are some of the other designs I really love:

I’m continuing to decorate around my house and now that my door basket is complete it’s going to hang on my front door to welcome holiday guests.
