Did you know that Campaign furniture was originally made to easily break down and fold up for traveling?  This style of furniture was made as naval furniture to be used on merchant ships.  Today Campaign style furniture is one of the most sought after vintage designs. If you’re lucky you may stumble across a piece in a thrift store or you can create your own luck and DIY a campaign style chest of drawers for yourself.

Making your own campaign style chest of drawers starts with the Ikea Kullen Cabinet and paint in the color of your choice.  Once painted, all you have to do is add brass corner hardware and drawer pulls.  And for as little as $200 you’ve got a campaign style chest of drawers.

Bamboo furniture was originally designed for use on porches and patios but over the years the look has found its way into the interiors of homes. Whether real or faux, bamboo designs add a chic but organic touch to decor.

One of my favorite bamboo accessories is a bamboo mirror.  It’s the perfect piece to hang in a foyer, powder room or over night stands in the bedroom.  For $969 you can buy the gold faux bamboo mirror below or you can DIY your own for under $150.00.

Some of my favorite room images on Pinterest have one thing in common, this $485 brushstroke lamp.  I’ve seen this piece in every color in the rainbow and love the personality that it adds to a room.  If you have $100 (or less) and love to paint, it’s easy to recreate this look for your home. The hardest part of DIYing this lamp will be selecting a paint color.

I know many of you are like me and have bit of a pillow obsession, especially if the pillow has a greek key trim.  Designer pillows are one of the easiest and most budget friendly DIY hacks you can take on.  When it comes to this pretty in pink bolster pillow, you can DIY this look for under $50.00 or buy the designer version that costs over $100.
