Wow, did the weekend fly by or what? I got quite a few things checked off my to-do list this weekend but I could definitely have used another day to wrap up and wind down. I hope you all had a great weekend.
One of the things I found my self doing this weekend was finalizing my Christmas decor plans.
Remember a couple of weeks ago when I told you I was thinking about something like this…

We’ll, ever since seeing this image I’ve been thinking about going in a different direction.
I just love the combination of black and white with a classic red tartan pattern. It’s a traditional look that can easily be mixed with more modern touches.
So, after hitting a few stores to look a product and pulling out some of my own Christmas decor I’ve decided that 2014 will be all about tartan. Here’s an inspiration board I pulled together to give you an idea of what I’m envisioning.

I’ve still got a handful of diy projects planned for my decor and I can’t wait to share it all with you.
Now back to prepping for Thanksgiving!
