Today is a big day!  Today I’m checking off a bucket list item and heading to Round Top, TX to shop the famous Round Top Antiques market. I’ve wanted to go to Round Top for years and the planets aligned this year and I’m doing it.

The road to my Round Top adventure started almost two years ago through my blog.  Marsha (that’s her below) was starting her blogging journey and reached out to me for some blog advice.  One conversation led to many and we instantly became friends.  Unlike many of the friendships found through blogging where you never get to meet the person, I’ve been fortunate to spend time with Marsha when her and her husband have visited Atlanta.

Marsha lives outside of Dallas and when I found that out,  I immediately told her of my desire to attend Round Top one day.  We’ll bless her heart, back in February Marsha told me she was planning a girls weekend…to of all places Round Top and she invited me.  And if Round Top wasn’t enough, Marsha put together a weekend that includes dinner at world-famous Royer’s Cafe, a visit to Austin and an fun outing in Waco.

I can’t wait to feast my eyes on all the gorgeous antiques and vintage goodies at Round Top.  And you better believe I’ve got a shopping list (including photos) of items I want to look for and my flea market tool kit is ready to hit the road.

My shopping list includes ironstone, milk glass, vintage jewelry, blue and white dinnerware, textiles and much more.  I know I can’t bring it all back on the plane with me but I’m ready to have my treasures shipped if needed.

We’ll be spending a night in Austin and taking in the sights of the city.  I’ve never been before and can’t wait to see why it’s one of the most popular cities in America to live in.

Then we’re heading to Waco to visit Magnolia Market!  Yes, the Magnolia Market owned by Chip and Joanna of the popular HGTV show Fixer Upper.  I’m super excited to check our the silos, the store and just maybe get a photo with Chip and Joanna.

I’m prepared to take a boat load of pictures and will definitely  be sharing my adventure on Instagram so follow along to check out all the fun I’m having.  I’ll have a full report on my trip when I come back to earth (and get back from Dallas).
