The Bedroom Reveal | Fall 2019 One Room Challenge

It’s hard to believe that six weeks ago the One Room Challenge started and now we are at the finish line with reveal day. The last 5 weeks have been a blur with lots of projects completed as we transformed our master bedroom. I am thrilled with how the room turned out and excited to share it with you today. Before I share all of the pretty pictures, I want to remind you of where the room started. We moved into our townhome about two years ago and while I’ve gotten most of the house decorated, our master bedroom was a bland box. We purchased the armoire when we lived in Seattle and after moving to Atlanta we painted it black. The bed, dresser and bamboo nightstand were purchased here in Atlanta.

Weekend Wrap-Up: Vol. 9 {Lots of Run Reads}

Hooray, we made it to the weekend. Between the rain storms and blazing hot temperatures, I ready for a weekend indoors.

Why is it that small cottages are always so charming? From the claw foot tub to the neutral color palette, this Connecticut cottage definitely delivers lots of charm. One of my favorite details was this vintage cabinet they have in the bathroom. Take a tour of the entire home here.

I’ve been a fan of Paloma Contreras for a long time. I’ve watched as her career has blossomed and I’m looking forward to adding her book to my collection. When it comes to interior design the saying, ‘design is in the details’ couldn’t be more true. Details can often be the one thing that makes your design statement unique and stand out.

Today I’m sharing one of my favorite sources for decorative trims and tapes, Fringe Market. Fringe Market is a to-the-trade resource with the most beautiful assortment of tapes, fringe, cords, tassels and trims. Along with a big assortment of cotton products they also carry luxury yarns like mohair.

If you’re looking for trims suitable for outdoor use, they also carry a great selection of products in that category. Add a decorative trim to a solid outdoor pillow and you can easily UpStyling your outdoor living space.

And one more thing to love about this company is that all of their products are manufactured in the USA.

It’s hard to pick my favorite tapes and trims but I rounded up a few that are at the top of my list.

FIVE Spaces That Took My Breath Away

Have you noticed that surfing Pinterest is kinda like shopping at Costco. You go in for one thing and come up with a cart full of items that weren’t on your list. In the case of Pinterest, one beautiful image leads to another and the next thing you know you’ve been sitting in your chair for hours and your ‘pin it’ finger hurts.

My latest foray into the Pinterest black hole uncovered some really stunning spaces–space that took my breath away.
