Have you ever wanted to try upholstering walls?  I love the idea and was this how-to tutorial on One Kings Lane.  They make it look easy and the end result is fabulous.

I’m sure most of you are familiar with Etsy, the marketplace for vintage and handmade item. Etsy just made the whole concept of handmade and DIY more fun with the introduction of  Etsy Studio.  Etsy Studio is a marketplace for DIY supplies and projects. All of the unique materials, parts and components you need to create one-of-a kind items will now be shopable at one place. I’m super excited and can’t wait to try some of the projects featured on their site like this gorgeous clutch.  And I’m going to make my own version of this tassel necklace–so cute!

Such a beautiful home tour.

FAVORITE PINS

Love how the Ikea Expedit bookshelf was used to create this simple but chic cocktail station.

If you follow me on Pinterest you may have noticed that I’ve been pinning lots of images of boxed flower arrangements like these.  I think this is such a unique gift giving idea.

Iced Tea Pitchers–Southern Entertaining Essential

Iced Tea Southern Living

On my trip to Round Top Antiques Market, my friend Marsha scored a really great deal on a milk glass pitcher and glasses.  It’s the perfect set for serving up sweet tea on her back patio, on a lazy summer evening.  Make sure to check out her blog because rumor has it that she’ll be sharing her Round Top finds soon.

Now that iced tea season is here, I’m on the hunt for the perfect pitcher to serve up my favorite iced tea beverages.  A quick search of the web and I found a several pitchers I love and even better, the prices!

Iced Tea Season.001

It’s amazing what beautiful items you can find at H and M Home.  This Patterned Glass Carafe is an amazing find for only $24.99 and the emerald green is such a hot trend color right now.
You can never go wrong with classic glass pitchers especially when it has a hobnail detail and gold rim.  This Textured Glass Pitcher is another H and M Home find. $17.99
I love the scroll detail at the top of this Pressed Glass Pitcher and could see it being used for all types of summer beverages.  At $12.98 this piece is a great buy and would also make a great wedding or shower gift.
You know I love blue and white so it’s not a surprised I was attracted to the Azure Design Pitcher from Overstock. This one has Sangria and iced tea written all over it$32.99
Maybe my favorite of them all is this Meyer Lemon Pitcher from Williams Sonoma Home.  I love the lemon image and the vintage enamel ware styling. $45.99
And for those of you that love margaritas as much as you do iced tea, this Tequila Sunrise Pitcher is for you.  The color combo makes it easy to mix with any table setting decor. $43.99

Since I grew up on the west coast, I didn’t acquire a taste of iced tea until I moved to the South but I must say, summers wouldn’t be the same without it.

Favorite Posts, Pins and Products of the week!

Favorites Of The Week

Boy has this been a crazy week and to top it all off, I am in a battle with Target trying to get an online order issue resolved.  It is so sad that customer service has just fallen by the wayside and that companies just don’t seem to care.  When I had my store and even now with my design and Etsy business my #1 priority is to provide a great product and great service and to leave my customers satisfied and happy.

Enough about my trials and tribulations…let’s get on the some happy stuff.  I’ve been sharing inspirational photos and links on Saturdays for a while but a couple of weeks ago I reworked the Saturday post to share my favorite Posts, Pins and Products with you.  I really like the format so I’ll be sprinkling more of these post into my lineup going forward.

I hope you find inspiration in what I’m sharing and are enticed to shop some of the great products I come across (No affiliate link involved).  Enjoy!

I’ve Missed It–Shopping at Anthropologie

Anthropologie1

It has been months since I’ve been to Anthropologie.  I try to pop in at least once a month to see what new gems they have but my summer travels and work kept me away.

I took a little time this past weekend to drop by the store (in hopes of starting a little Christmas shopping) and there were so many awesome items that I could hardly contain myself.
