My favorite part of decorating is accessorizing. 

Accessories give a home its personality and make spaces come to life.  And, since there are so many accessories in the marketplace to choose from, the looks you can create are endless.  But, after years of decorating, there are  5 decorative accessories that stand out as my favorite accessory pieces. 

 

1)  Starburst Mirrors

I love how starburst mirrors add dimension and visual interest to a room. And, they are a great alternative to framed artwork.

2) Silver Trays

Whether hung on the wall or used as a tabletop piece, trays, especially silver ones add a touch of glam to a room.  A silver tray is also great to show a grouping of books or decorative objects.

3) Decorative Urns

An easy way to add architectural interest to a room is with decorative urns.  Use them to fill bookshelves,  hold plants or as an accent furniture piece.

4) Picture Frames

Oh how I love picture frames!  A grouping of frames on a table surface is great, but I really love a collection of unique frames hung on the wall.  Mix traditional framed photos with eclectic wall art  for a personalized arrangement.

5) Decorative Boxes

Boxes are great for storage or display.  Stack them in groups or display them alone–either way, accessories are a key accessory item for every home.
