Atlanta Home & Gift Show–Part 1

Twice a year, Atlanta host one of the largest home décor and gift shows in the world.  Buyers from near and far travel to Atlanta to see the new trends, color direction and products that manufacturers have developed for the upcoming seasons.

As a buyer, it is both a wonderful and daunting experience to work the Atlanta Gift Show.  Picture this...four buildings, 61 floors in total, lots & lots of things to look at, and loads of walking.

After all the visual stimulation and walking, you really do feel like this at the end of a day!

During the January market, not only were all the new spring products introduced, but Christmas 2011 was unveiled.  Yes, as store owners and designers, we’ve just ended the holiday season only to be thrust back into a glitter filled world.

One of the most exciting parts of attending the shows is seeing what’s new.  Here are three of the product trends I saw happening for Spring and Summer 2011.

  • Bold Patterns–Think Jonathan Adler and Tobi Fairley at their best!
