Inevitability it seems that the finishing details of any design project are the elements that take the longest to complete. In the case of my bedroom makeover, it’s true as well.
So, while the completed room is still about a week away (fingers crossed), I do have some updates to share with you.
Here’ s a grouping of mercury glass items, silver tray and new glass ball lamp that sits atop of my lingerie drawer unit.
I’ve taken a plain white lamp shade on a floor lamp from this…
to this, with the addition of a little ribbon.
I made this ribbon tassel using a selection of different ribbons & a $2.00 wood finial. Just a little something to dress up my door handle. I’ll share the how-to’s next week.
This gorgeous silver compote gifted to me by a friend who bought it at a garage sale for $25, is being used as a magazine holder. I love a bit of over-the-top glam in every room.

No, I did not make the flowers on that pillow. The pillow was purchased at Target.
I do however how instructions for making similar flowers and will be sending these your way.
