My master bedroom makeover is well underway and I must say it is coming along great. I am loving the new color scheme and so far, I am staying under my budget of $500.
My decorating style has always leaned towards transitional, with touches of modern and traditional thrown in. As for my color preferences, I tend to like rich, warm colors and always seem to have a touch of floral as part of the decor. Here’s a peak at the space BEFORE, admittedly lacking pizzazz! You’ll also notice the hubby’s C-pap (snoring) machine, which is an absolute nightmare to decorate around (but a lifesaver to those of us that need their beauty sleep).
If anyone has clever decorating ideas involving one of these beauties, I’d love to see photos.

With this makeover, I wanted to try a completely different color theme and decided on a bold, canary yellow as the foundation. My style is still transitional, but I do have a few more modern accessories thrown in.
The starting point..my inspiration pillow!
A touch of chrome and silver added to the nightstand.
The beginning of my black, white and yellow bedding. A few tweaks still to come.
I’m hoping to have the makeover complete by the end of next week, and will share all the photos and resource list with you at that time.
