I am in full Christmas decorating mode for clients this week, and in the evenings I’m working on all kinds of holiday projects around my house.
I mentioned before that my Christmas decor this year will be a mix of burlap, red, mercury glass and music themed elements.
Even with my theme set, I’m finding myself smitten and inspired by all the Vintage Christmas decor I’m seeing in blogland. I love the mix of natural elements, the texture and all the shine and shimmer. I’m so inspired, I’ve decided I’ll be making my version of many of these ideas to incorporate into my decor.
Maybe a few lavender filled vintage sachets as gifts, made from vintage grain sacks! My favorite shopping source for these are Ebay or Etsy.
Love these neutral tone Christmas pillows. These are great DIY project using vintage linens.
Vintage dollies are easy to find and inexpensive and can be added to pillows and other decor for a vintage touch. I’m planning on making a couple of pillows using the vintage dollies I’ve collected.
I’ll be using lots of silver and mercury glass on my tree and in my gift wrapping.

A few of my vintage silver trays will be used as tabletop decor. Ebay has a great selection of vintage silver at great prices.
I’m hand making several of the ornaments for my tree, including a few of these paper fans ornaments.
I’ve picked up some vintage brooches from flea markets over the past few months and will use using them as adornment on gifts! Wish I could make a wreath like this one …Stunning!
I love this vintage inspired Advent calendar and am inspired to make gift tags that resemble these beautiful tags.
Amazing what you can do with old book pages and some glitter.
Creating a vintage inspired Christmsa is all about taking something old and making it new again!
Happy Decorating!
