Winter, a lingering season
is a time to gather golden
moments, embark on a sentimental journey,
and enjoy every idle hour. –John Boswell
This year my holiday table reflects a spirit of fun, whimsy and the joy of the season.
The table runners were created using two different wrapping papers–tartan plaid and polka dot.
The colors I used on throughout the table replicate the decor on my Christmas tree and the pattern mix gives the table setting an eclectic feel.
I incorporated a mix of materials through the glassware, dessert plates, ornaments and greenery.
I love how the gold rim on buffalo plaid appetizer plates from C. Wonder adds a little sparkle.
I picked up the holiday verse plates from HomeGoods and love the retro touch they add to the table.
I love decorating the backs of my dining chairs during the holidays and these initial bags from TJ Maxx worked great for that. Each bag holds greenery and one of the Candy Tubes I made.
Silver ornaments were scattered around the table for glimmer and glow.
And as the centerpiece of the table, I used the wood herb crates I bought from Farmhouse Wares and filled them with poinsettia and magnolia leaves.
Time to gather around the table!
