Is there anything better than a steaming cup of hot chocolate with a swirl of whip cream and chocolate sprinkles during the cold weather months?
A cup of spiced tea comes close in my book but I prefer hot chocolate when I relaxing at the end of a long day.
Since I know I’ll be drinking lots of hot cocoa this winter, I decided to get crafty and make mug wraps to UpStyle some basic mugs.
Just so happens that I stumbled across these hefty black mugs on clearance at Michael’s for .70 cents and the tartan ribbon I used on my tree was the perfect width.
Here’s how I made my mug wraps…
Supplies: Solid colored mug/ Wide ribbon of your choice (mine was 2 1/2″ wide) Adhesive velcro
How to: Cut a length of ribbon long enough to fit around the mug with the ends folded under about 1/4″ / Secure the ends of the ribbon together with a strip of velcro
Aren’t these the cutest things ever!!!!
If you have a coffee drinker or tea lover on your gift list, mugs with custom mug wraps would make a great gift.
Cheers!

I love tartan and these are beautiful! Plus, it looks like an easy and quick project. One question, where did you get the monogrammed stir sticks? Thanks!
What a creative and fabulous idea!
Thanks so much. “tis the season!
