When it comes to entertaining, I am more about the decor than I am about the food. I’ve learned a lot about how to create a beautiful party buffet from my friend Robyne, who happens to be food genius and makes some of the most amazing sweet treats ever.
Robyne has taught me that presentation is everything when it comes to party food so I pulled together some ideas to show you just how easy it is to make your party food pretty.

Pick Some Flowers
While I can’t say that I’ve ever eaten edible flowers, I do think they are an amazing way to dress up a simple food item like salad or a cake.
Artful Arrangement
Taking the time to arrange food on a platter so that it looks artistic will really make an impact on a party table. Start with on the outer edge of your tray and place one fruit variety at a time until the tray is filled in. Almost looks too good to eat.
I love this idea for serving cookies at a party. Replace the flower cookies as they are taken from the tray and at the end of evening the jar cookie is all yours!
Just Add Leaves
Just like flowers, edible leaves can turn a simple food statement into something beautiful.
Make It Mini
Everyone love food served up miniature style. Small sizes are a great way to control the amount of food served and everyone knows that good things come in small packages!
Stick It
Food on stick is not just for state fairs and amusements parks. Serving menu items on a stick is not only a great way to create a pretty food station but using sticks will save on the number of plates you have to use and wash.
I hope I get an invitation to your next party because I want to see all the pretty party food you create.
