Wow, I can’t believe the new year is almost here. In looking back over the past year, I’ve had the opportunity to reflect on a few of the things that made an impact in my life.
Here’s a look back at my year…
The beginning of the new year started with a major change in my life. I closed my home decor store after 8 years in business and started my independent interior design company, ConfettiStyle Interiors! Read my post about the transition here.
In October, I launched ConfettiStyles’ e-design service, Door-To-Door Design. It has been a real joy to be able to create spaces for clients near and far. I plan to do more e-design business in 2012.
With a new design business unfolding and my creativity soaring to new levels, I realized an important driving force in my life…
I celebrated my 20 year wedding anniversary with my biggest supporter, best friend and the love the my life, my husband Geno! I’m looking forward to many more great years with him.
2011 was another great year of blogging for the May Arts Ribbon company. Combining my love for ribbon with my love for crafting is a true dream! I’ve got lots of great projects planned for 2012 and will be sharing them all with you, right here on my blog.
2011 also saw the launch of my Etsy shop—ConfettiStyleDesigns! My shop is filled with handcrafted vintage hardware jewelry, office accessories and some of the vintage finds I’ve gathered from my thrift and antique shopping adventures. Take a moment to stop by and check it out!
In October, I had a fantastic opportunity to present my handcrafted jewelry to the editors of Country Living Magazine, at their pitch-your-product event during the Country Living Fair in Atlanta. Right before Christmas they emailed to stay they are still in the process of selecting the winners and I should hear something right after the new year. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
Attending the fair was a highlight of my year, especially since it was a day spent with two great friends.
I also had the opportunity in 2011 to spend the day with one of my design idols, Tobi Fairley when I attended one of her design camps. Boy did I learn a lot and most importantly, Tobi inspired me both professionally and personally.
I gave my bedroom a makeover on a budget and love the outcome. You can read all about the details here.
These are just a few of the things from 2011 that I can look back on, smile, treasure and be proud of. I have big plans for 2012 and can’t wait to unveil them all to you. In the meantime, I want to say Thank You to all of you that read my blog on a daily basis and have supported me with your kind comments and feedback.
Cheers to all good things in 2012!
