It all started with a trip to The Container Store to pick up some shipping boxes…
Everytime I go into The Container Store I have something specific I’m planning to buy. But that always changes once I’m inside the doors. I get sucked in by all the beautiful containers, jars, boxes and wrapping, and my imagination starts to go wild. It never fails that I come home with a few items that weren’t on the shopping list.
Last week I popped into the store to buy shipping boxes and took a stroll down the gift box aisle. If you’ve never wandered down the gift box aisle you’re missing out. There are metal boxes, plastic containers, round boxes and tall boxes. No matter what it is that you want to wrap, The Container Store has a box for you.
And if you’re looking to wrap a small gifts, like Valentines gifts, they’ve got boxes for that too!
One of the boxes that caught my eye last week were these Color Block Nesting Boxes. This set of 12 boxes includes a mix of colors and sizes with the largest box measuring 5 1/4″ sq and the smallest box measuring 1-3/8″ sq. x 3/4″ h.
The colors are beautiful and since the boxes don’t need wrapping all you have to do is add ribbon.
My imagination began to ponder all the creative ways that I could use ribbon and I came up with a quick, easy and stylish way to do just that.

Ribbon Ties by ConfettiStyle!
You only need a few supplies to create these ribbon ties:
We Are Memory Keepers Crop-A-Dile. (This is one of my favorite crafting tools of all times. You can learn more about it here!)
Eyelets (you can use different sizes and colors if desired)
Ribbon–(narrow ribbon widths work best. I used this, this and this)
How to:
To add ribbon ties to a box, mark the placement for each eyelet on two sides of the lid and base with a pencil.
Using your Crop-A-Dile, punch a hole where marked and then add your eyelet.
Cut four lengths of ribbon and string through each eyelet. Secure the ribbon on the inside of the box lid and base by tying a knot in the ribbon.
With all your ribbon ties in place, place you gift inside the box and then tie the lid and base ribbon into bows to secure the box.
That’s all it takes!
I just love how cute these gift boxes turned out and can’t wait to wrap more gifts using Ribbon Ties.
{ p.s. you can also add ribbon ties to boxes wrapped in wrapping paper}
Happy Wrapping!
