Most of the time when we leave the house, we make sure to present ourselves in a way that just in case we run into someone or meet someone new, we make a good first impression. That same thinking should go into the design of your home, especially your entrance area. The space doesn’t have to be big to make an impact, it just has to have a point of view and a personality.
Design tip: Paint the piece of furniture you place in your foyer to create energy and set the tone for what the rest of the house feels like. Add a natural element to give the space a personal touch and a starburst mirror is always good because the spokes draw your eye around the space and into the connecting rooms.

Hi Shelly…this is such a pretty foyer. Love the painted piece and especially the gold handles. I am looking for handles like that for my bi-fold coat closet doors which I am getting ready to paint black! Sunburst gold mirrors have been around forever and always add a touch of elegance to any wall! Love your posts!
Best,
Elaine
