In my book every day of the year is a great day for a party. And when it comes to party decor, I’m always on the hunt for unique and creative ideas to add to my party planning file. On a recent Pinterest binge I came across a few images that were not only beautiful but that spoke to my creativity. These tablescapes look sophisticated and elaborate but it is the details that make them great. Details that can be achieved with a little creativity.

No. 1–Paint Your Decor
A great way to make any party table look elegant is by using gold and black pieces to dress up the table. These gold base glasses are a fun touch and with painters tape and a little gold spray paint you could make your own. Because the paint is on the outside of the glass, they are suitable for drinking from.
No. 2 –Stencil Your Decor
Another sophisticated color statement on a party table is black and white. I adore these black and white vases and this stencil would make this an easy and inexpensive diy project.
No. 3–Use Garden Greens
I recently planted some lemon leaf herbs and just adore the smell. Any scented herb leaf and a small flower stem would make a fun napkin embellishment like for the your next sit-down dinner. Oh, and the lemon leaves are edible so you can use them to garnish food or iced tea too!
No. 4–Get Your Glitter On
I am all about cute and glittery when it comes to a party table. Glittered mini champagne bottles meet both the cute and glittered criteria. Coat bottles in Mod Podge, sprinkle on glitter and seal with Mod Podge so you won’t have glitter all over the table. Check out the gold glittered vases too. They would make fun party favors for your guest.

No. 5–Create a Table that’s Plush and Cozy
If it can lay flat it can probably be used as a tablecloth. To get the look of this textured tablecloth, head to the rug department and look for chenille or shag rug or bathmats. The Ikea Toftbo bathmat would be ideal for your next party table.
No. 6–Giftwrap Your Table
It’s not secret that I love paper and there is no simpler or cost-effective way to create a table runner than with a length of wrapping paper. To keep the look chic and sophisticated layer two solid colors on top of each other.
No.6–Fold and Roll
Do you want to look like a napkin folding pro at your next party? Roll your napkins into a ring with the edges facing out, place on the plate or in a cup and add a couple of leaves. You just created a beautiful rose napkin embellishment for your table. If you really want to get fancy, use a white, gold or silver marker to write the name of each guest on a leaf and use the napkin piece as a place marker.
