It’s the first day of SPRING and I couldn’t be happier. Here in Atlanta we’re going to get a real dose of spring weather when temps reach near 80 degrees tomorrow.
To kick off the spring season, I’ve got a new Product + Inspiration post for you today. I hope you’re inspired.
Product + Inspiration: Sling Ottoman
As a kid I spent many a summer camping with my family. My dad was an outdoorsman so we had all the best camping gear. Our two room tent had space for sleeping and another area for dining. And every camping trip my dad would make a big fire and we’d sit on these cool folding camp stools and make s’mores.
A couple of years ago I started looking for vintage campstools. Last year I spotted a pair at a flea market and made the mistake of not getting them.
{rule #2 in the thrifting handbook–don’t pass up a treasure when you find it}
Folding camp stools have come a long way since my camping days. Today you’re seeing designs being made for interior decor and instead of being called camp stools, they’re known as Sling Ottomans.
I recently spotted a Sling Ottoman at World Market for just $59, so if I don’t find a vintage pair while I’m at Roundtop I have a backup buying plan.
If you’re wondering what’s so great about decorating with a Sling Ottoman, here’s some design inspiration that’s sure to inspire…
You can find these pieces in different fabrics or if you luck upon a vintage pair you can change the fabric to fit your decor.
