What’s you favorite thing to do during the summer. Is it heading to the beach to romp through the sand? Maybe you like to take afternoon drives through the countryside? Or maybe your ideal summer day it hanging our around a pool?
Yes, I love to hang out at the beach but since the closet real beach in 5+ hours away I can’t do that on a regular basis. I also like to take drives through the countryside but living in Atlanta, getting to the country takes a drive too. And since I don’t have a swimming pool, that’s not an option. What’s left–a day in the park.
Hanging out in the park is one of my favorite things to do during the summer. We pack up the lounge chairs, a picnic blanket, some magazines and our picnic basket. There is nothing like a relaxing afternoon looking up into the sky and enjoying the sun.
When it comes to packing my picnic basket, there are a few essentials that I always count on to make our park day great.
Melamine Plate / Mason Jar / Cloth Napkins /Sparkling Ice / Flatware
Cheese Board / Food Containers
Table in a Bag / Picnic Basket / Picnic Blanket
I’ll be spending the next few days at the Haven Conference but the hubby and I have a picnic planned on Sunday, which just so happens to be our wedding anniversary. I can’t wait to spend the day doing something I love with the one I love. Follow along on Instagram for all my Haven highlights.
If you want to DIY your own picnic basket, check out this picnic basket tutorial and project I created for May Arts Ribbon.
