Holiday Gift Guide | Books I Love

Have you made a dent with your Christmas gift list? I’ve scratched a few things off mine and hope to get the rest of my shopping done next week.

Today I’m sharing another gift guide with you. This one is a round-up of some of my top book picks of the year. From entertaining and decor, to an inspiring memoir, all to these books will make a great gifts.

THE GIFT OF READING…

Becoming by Michelle Obama–The minute I heard the Michele Obama was releasing a book, I put it on my Christmas list. I loved following her during her time as First Lady and admire the woman she is. I’m looking forward to learning more about Michelle’s life and the things that inspire her. This is a great gift for women of all ages.

Small Space Style by Whitney Leigh Morris–Have you ever thought about living in a tiny house or even downsizing your home? This book shares her tips and ideas for living stylishly in under 400 sq feet. And even is your house isn’t that small, there are lots of tips that anyone can use to create a stylish home.

Suzanne Kasler: Sophisticated Simplicity–Suzanne Kasler is one of my favorite designers and her books are always inspiring. As the title says, the pages of her newest book is filled with sophisticated simplicity. Beautiful interiors, inspiring vignettes and design tips that will help you create the home of your dreams.

Dream Design Live by Paloma Contreras–I ordered this book earlier this year and have spent countless hours flipping through the pages. Paloma has put some of her best design work on display and walks us through her process of design beautiful spaces. A must for anyone with a career or passion for design and decor.

The Book To Read Is Not One That Thinks For You But The One Which Makes You Think! Harper Lee

Nina Campbell Interior Decoration: Elegance and Ease–I’ve been a fan of Nina Campbell for years and own several of her books. This book is beautifully designed with stunning images of Campbell’s work over the years. A treasure trove of inspiration for anyone that loves classic, traditional decor with unexpected design details.

Savor: Entertaining with Charcuterie, Cheese Spreads & More–Since cooking is really not my thing, I’m drawn to cookbooks that make entertaining easy. Page after page of easy recipes and Charcuterie spreads that you’ll want to re-create for your next party.

Veranda Escapes–Another gorgeous book by former Veranda editor, Clinton Smith. Filled with beautiful images of gardens, pools and outdoor spaces, this book will inspire your personal outdoor oasis.

The Book Of Flowers–The cover of this book is what initially captivated me and after flipping through a few pages I was all in. Every page features illustrated watercolor images that are worthy of framing and displaying in your home.

Holiday Gift Guide | All Things Chinoiserie

Happy Friday friends. I hope your Thanksgiving was fabulous! I spent a low-key day with my mom, brother and his girlfriend and it was perfect in every way. We slept in, treated ourselves to dinner out and watched our fill of holiday movies. Now it’s time to enjoy the Christmas season.

I have another Christmas gift guide for you today and this one is near and dear to my heart because it’s chinoiserie themed!

I spent lots of time scorning the web and shopping some of my favorite stores to round-up amazing gift ideas for you. If you or someone you know is a fan of blue & white, pagodas, ginger jars and chinoiserie patterns then you’re in for a treat. Grab a cup of cocoa and have fun shopping a few of my favorite things.

A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS | CHINOISERIE GIFTS

Decorative Chinoiserie Tape * A fun gift for anyone that loves to craft or enjoys DIY projects. I’d use this to embellish plain stationery or notecards, or as a decorative detail on an acrylic tray or glass picture frames.

Ginger Jar Dish Towel * I love this tea-towel on its own but would pair it with a cutting board(see #21), or tea-cup (see #9) to make the gift extra special.

Blue Ceramic Food Storage Containers * My friend Marsha brought these storage containers to my attention. They come in two sizes and would be fun as part of a holiday cookie exchange.

Ginger Jar Mug * Pair this cute mug with a coffee gift card or my favorite tea to create an easy gift set.

Personalized Pagoda Bookplates * The perfect (and unique) gift for anyone that’s book obsessed like me. This is just of the many amazing designs that Nancy hand illustrates herself.

Monogram Ginger Jar Notebook * Can you ever have too many cute notebooks? don’t think so. The animal print pattern and personalization on this notebook are just too cute and something everyone can use.

Ginger Jar Champagne Bucket * This Aerin designed bucket has been on my radar for a very long time. Perfect for chilling wine or champagne, and I also think it would make a great flower vase.

Blue & White Picture Frames * Such a beautiful way to display a favorite photo. A great gift for new parents or a newlywed couple.

Wedgwood Sandwich Tray * I don’t know about you, but I love a pretty tray for entertaining or decorating. This floral pattern is just so pretty.

Gifts For Her | 2018 Holiday Gift Guide

Hello friends. It’s Thanksgiving week so the official start of the Christmas season is just a few days away. Since many of you will get started gift shopping this weekend, I’m dedicating several of my blog posts this week to gifting! I’ll be sharing holiday gift guides (some traditional and some unexpected), along with fun gift giving & gift wrap ideas.

I’m kicking things off today with my first gift guide, Gift For Her. This is one of my favorite gift guides to pull together because everything I’m sharing is something I already own or would love to. GIFTS FOR HER

No. 1: Tropical Travel Bag Set ($63.00)–When I was a clothing buyer, I traveled a lot and had plastic pouches to keep my luggage organized. Back then, function was more important than looks. Today, I want my travel pieces to function and look pretty so I was thrilled when came across these travel bags. The bold colors and whimsical prints have me thinking about a tropical getaway.

No. 2: UGG Cozy Knit Slippers ($120.00)–It took me a long time to jump on the UGG bandwagon but once I did, I was hooked. Just like UGG boots, these fleece lined slippers will keep feet warm and cozy during the winter months.

No. 3: McKenna Leather Travel Jewelry Box ($24.00 + free monogram)–I’ve owned several travel jewelry cases over the years but have yet to find the perfect one. This leather box just might be it. The compact size makes it great to slip into a carry-on and the interior will keep things neat and tidy. The hardest part of buying this as a gift will be deciding which color to get.

No. 8: Monogram Herringbone Initial Throw ($50.00)–This classic grey and white herringbone throw is the perfect way to cozy up during the winter. A great gift for a girlfriend or as a family gift.

No. 9: Cheetah Hair On Hide Card Case ($30.00)–A fun little accessory for anyone that loves animal prints. There’s also this clutch and these cute animal print earrings.

No. 12: Great Quotes for Great Women ($15.95)–I love this collection of inspirational quotes from inspiring women. This would make a great read to kick off the new year.
