Have a safe and festive 4th of July.
Entertaining Inspiration: Stylish Ice Cubes
The time for outdoor entertaining is upon us and with the heat soaring in many parts of the country, spending time putting up lots of decorations for a party doesn’t sound too enticing. If you want to your party to have style there are lots of quick and easy ways to do that. One of the ways to add a little punch to your outdoor soirees is by using “decorative” ice cubes. You can use an inexpensive designer ice tray or make your own fruit or flower infused cubes. Either way, the result is pretty cool!
Now that I’ve got you wanting to use cute cubes at your next party, here are a few of my favorite ice cube trays.

Things to do on a Holiday Weekend
I’m excited about this holiday weekend. I’m planning on doing a little work (fun stuff only) and spending most of my time relaxing and enjoying the sun. Besides attending a graduation party for a special friend on Saturday, I’m planning to do these things….
Go on a Picnic
Do some shopping
Read lots of magazines
(My stack of unread mags is out of control)
Walk in the park
(the best people watching ever)
Visit Serenbe for the first time
and if I’m really feeling energetic I’m going to see if I can reach 16,000 pins on Pinterest!
I’ll be back on Tuesday to share all my weekend fun. Wishing you a relaxing and enjoyable holiday weekend!
Entertaining Inspiration: Tassel Garland
One of my new party décor obsessions is Tassel Garland. There is just something so playful and charming about these dangling poufs of paper pieces. I especially love them in metallic but just about any color combination is a great way to style a birthday party, baby shower or cocktail soiree for friends.
Be Inspired!

If you want to buy Tassel Garland check out these great Etsy shops, TheFlairExchange, StudioMucci and GlamFeteByBri or you can make your own with this DIY tutorial below.
I spent time on Saturday making 30 tassels to use at an event the non-profit I work with was holding on Sunday. Unfortunately the event was cancelled due to weather so now I’ve got 30 tassels to do something with. I guess a party is in order!

Have a great day!
Entertaining Tip: Cocktail Napkins
One of the easiest and cost-effective ways to introduce style into your next dinner party or festive event is by using decorative Cocktail Napkins.
source
Cocktail Napkins can be incorporated into your décor to fit your design or color theme. I love to use cloth cocktail napkins but designer paper napkins often win out because of their ease and cost savings.
source
When using paper cocktail napkins, you’ll create a more stylish look if you use a mix of coordinating patterns and/or colors.
Source
For more casual entertaining, quotable cocktail napkins are fine, but shy away from these for more formal or elegant events.
source
And don’t forget to serve up your cocktail napkins in pretty holders or containers so that every element of your décor is chic!

And if you’re the one being invited to the party and not hosting it, cocktail napkins make an ideal hostess gift!
Happy Entertaining!

Happy Birthday!
Today’s my birthday and I’m going to play hookie from work but I’ll be back tomorrow with a stylish and easy DIY project!
For my big day, I’m planning on doing this…
Having lunch somewhere like this…
Indulging in a little of this….
{only I’ll be hitting stores like TJMaxx, Marshalls and Macys}
Finishing the day with this…
and this!
And hoping that with the pollen count is at a high here in Atlanta, I don’t look like this at the end of the day!
Cheers!
