I’m super excited today because today’s the big day. It’s the first day of 30 DAYS OF HOLIDAYS with ConfettiStyle!
I’ve been busy decorating, wrapping, crafting and diying to bring you a festive holiday post everyday, for the next 30 days! I’ll be sharing my holiday decor, diy projects, holiday gift wrap, entertaining ideas and lots of good old holiday decorating inspiration. Plus I’ll have a couple of fun giveaways for you too!
So, ’tis the season and let the fun begin!
So, how many of you will be hosting holiday parties in the coming weeks? I don’t have any parties planned but I do have several holiday events we’ll be attending already on the calendar.
If you love to entertain during the holidays, one of the areas you should really focus on is the presentation of the food you serve.
Serving yummy food is essential to a great party and how you present that food is a key component to the decor for your event.

The other day I popped into Paper Source to pick up some of the wood leaves they sell for a gift wrapping project. As I usually do when I go to Paper Source, I spent some time wandering around checking out all the cool stuff they have.
Most of you probably think of Paper Source as just a gift wrapping and packaging supply store but I’m here to tell you they have so many other cool items.
As I wandered around the store I kept coming across items I thought would work great as part of a Thanksgiving table setting. I was so inspired I decided to pull together an inspiration board showing you how I’d use gift wrap, gift items and crafting supplies to set a table.
Paper Source inspired Thanksgiving table setting: I love using wrapping paper as a table runner and this Multi Stem Flower Wrapping Paper is the perfect color and pattern for a festive Thanksgiving table. This Burlap Wreath Kit will make a pretty centerpiece and you’ll get to do a little crafting when you make it. Add a glass hurricane in the center to great a beautiful candle centerpiece. I fell in love with these Wooden Fall Leaves when I saw them on-line and after seeing them in person I think they’d make great coasters for your fall table. Coat each leave with Mod Podge to seal the surface. Every beautiful table needs pretty candle holders. The Peony and Rose Vanilla Candle in this chic gold chevron glass jar will add an elegant touch to your table. Another great use for wrapping paper is to cut it into squares and use it as a place mat alternative. This Thick Cherry Wood Paper is ideal to use on the table and adds a rustic touch to the decor. Taking a color cue from the paper runner, these Mint Patterned Napkins are the perfect color and pattern accent against the gold and brown elements on the table. To make a simple napkin ring for your table just wrap one of these Thanksgiving Scallop Oval Stickers around each rolled napkins on the table. So what do you think of this fun tablescape? I’m trying to ease into to fall but my mind has completely changed gears and is focused on the upcoming holiday season. Halloween is just around the corner, then the festivities of Thanksgiving will be here and Christmas is only 3 1/2 months away. There is so much do my to-do personal and business check-list, including coming up with a few fun holiday tablescapes.
In addition to pretty place settings, I also on the hunt for some fun napkin folding ideas and just happened to round-up 10 really cool one. So, if you’re already thinking about holiday entertaining and need a jump-start on ideas, take note of these and check holiday table decor off your to-do list.

I’m still in DC visiting family but wanted to let you in on a little project I’m working on. I think I’ve mentioned before that I sit on the board of directors for a non-profit agency. In addition to my role on the board , I also serve as the event chair for the agency’s largest annual fund-raising event, Vintage Affair. The event attracts over 400 people and includes a live and silent auction, dinner services from the areas top restaurants, wine tasting from vineyards across the world and live entertainment. One of the components of the event that I’m currently working on is the decor.
Each year, based on the theme of the event I create décor for the dinner tables and auction space.
The theme for this years event is Uplifting Our Community and the colors I’m working with are purple and gold. Here’s a look at some of the décor ideas I thinking about…
As a play on the word Uplifting, I’m going to incorporate balloons into the tabletop décor and I’m thinking about something like these gold painted balloons.
Gold dot steamers are always a fun party décor element and might look great as streamers across the table.
These paper streamers would be really fun as a backdrop for a photo booth area.
All of our desserts will be passed by servers but glittered cake stands like these could be fun for the take-away treats we are planning.
Paper dollies are such an easy an inexpensive way to dress up dollar store glass vases and when spray painted gold they add the perfect touch of glam and elegance to a tabletop.
I really don’t have anywhere to use gold dipper feathers in the décor but I’m keeping this idea on hand just in case.
I’m thinking of possibly using these Ikea frames which have been painted gold for some of the signage at the event.
The event takes place on Oct. 18th so I’m in full party planning mode and I’ll be sure to share pictures of the finished party space when it all done.

It’s been a crazy week and all I can say is I’m looking forward to a couple days of down time.
