Shopping with ConfettiStyle

Slide1

I’ve been hoarding some of my recent vintage finds and finally found time to get them added to the ConfettiStyle Designs shop.  In the shop you’ll find home décor items, tabletop serving pieces and accessories, milk glass and ironstone and lots of other pieces that I think are pretty great. Milk Glass on Display

It’s Monday!  I hope your weekend was a good one.  I stayed close to home a good part of the weekend (due to rain) but did have a little outing with my friends Tina from Encore Creations and Brandi from Do Not Disturb This Groove The three of us met at the Lakewood 400 Antique market on Saturday morning and spent a few hours shopping.  We didn’t score much but Tina found a vintage crochet set for $10 and Brandi scored a really cool wood display piece for cheap.  I came home with some vintage tassel jewelry (yeah!) and a really cool mini brass scale.  I was on the hunt for milk glass which led me to this post today….
It’s no secret that I love Milk Glass!  Even though my collection is relatively small at this moment, I’ve officially declared milk glass “my collection of choice” which helps to justify the purchases I make each month at the Scott Antique Market.  My long-term goal is not to hoard milk glass but to build a collection that would be worthy of a display like these that I admire so much.

Milk glass is an easy way to accessorize  bookshelves especially when they are narrow and you want to keep the look streamlined.

KariAnne over at Thistlewood Farms has the perfect setting for her milk glass collection…in her stunning dining room. I love the variety of pieces she’s collected.

This is my favorite way to display milk glass, with darker colors, woven textures and rustic accessories. The contrast makes the milk glass look even more spectacular.
I also want my milk glass collection to be varied enough that it allows me to decorate like this…

I’d also love to use my milk glass to hold beauty tools.

There are so many wonderful milk glass containers that can hold things in every room of the house and I’ve already begun to use a few pieces in my bedroom.

Slowly but surely my milk glass collection is growing and I can’t wait to see what pieces I can add to it on my next thrifting adventure.

So who out there loves milk glass as much as I do? Or, do you have another type of item that is your “collection of choice”?
If you’re in the market for some, be sure to check my Etsy shop as I have a few pieces for sale and will be adding some more this week.
