Happy Tuesday!

I hope the long weekend was wonderful for everyone.  The weather here in Atlanta was magnificent and I had 4 days of nothing but good stuff.

*  Since the entire weekend called for sunny days, I decided to brighten up my home with colorful flowers on the coffee table.

*  I was in a jewelry making mood so I created some new pieces that will be added to my Etsy shop by the end of the week. Lots of other good stuff coming too!

*  On Saturday we attended a graduation party for the daughter of a good friend and had a great time.  The color story for the party was pink and white and the candy bar provided sweet treats for both the kids and adults.

*  Sunday we ventured to my favorite park, sat under a tree and listened to jazz music for 6 totally relaxing hours!  The Atlanta Jazz festival was a big draw and the park was packed with people who also made for great people watching.

*  Yesterday we took a car ride about 45 minutes outside Atlanta to Serenbe.  We had never been there before and boy was it spectacular.  I’ll share more of our visit to this amazing place tomorrow, but for now all I can say is that I want to move to Serenbe!

As I sat at home last night, I hated to see the weekend come to an end, but am so grateful that I got to spend time doing stuff I love, spending time with friends and experiencing new places.

Life is good!

p.s.  I made it to 16,000 pins!

A Walk in The Park

Happy Monday!  I hope your weekend was awesome.

One of my most favorite things to do here in Atlanta when the weather turns nice is to head to the park.  This weekend, despite mad crazy traffic, the hubs and I headed to Piedmont Park to enjoy the sun, take a walk and people watch.  People watching at Piedmont is an adventure in itself.
The trip to the park also gave me the opportunity to take some pics with my new Canon DSLR camera.  I haven’t even read the manual yet but thought I’d see what would happen it I played around with the settings.
So, to help you ease into your week, come with me on my walk in the park (as seen through my camera lens)….

Once in the park, there are amazing views of the skyscrapers and hotels that surround the park.

There are several walking paths and the trees painted a beautiful picture of early spring transition.

There is a big pond in the center of the park, framed by more buildings.

Several docks line the pond where fishermen come for the big catch.

Or in this case, the not so big catch.

This gazebo is a hot gathering spot for photos and feeding the ducks. On the other side of the gazebo is a swimming pool complex.

I loved the shadows on these stairs.  There are lots of stairs throughout the park which make for a great stair workout.

Beautiful blossoms!

While I loved all the blooming trees, my allergies didn’t appreciate them much.  I’m still suffering this morning.

And finally, this big beautiful tree that will be my lounging area later this spring, when the leaves will provide the perfect shade covered hideaway.
Spring is going to be great!
