Design Trend: Cable Knits
Now that fall is here and the weather is changing, I’m seeing one of the biggest design trends for fall hit the store shelves in mass. Typically seen in sweaters, scarves and gloves, Cable Knits are now making a statement in home décor. Outside of the plaid trend that’s going on, I absolutely love the idea of cable knits because of the warmth and coziness it immediately adds to a room. Here’s a little inspiration on this trend to get you in the mood for a little R & R this weekend. Enjoy and have a great weekend!
I just added a cable knit throw to the bed in my guest room and love the texture it adds to the bedding. HomeGoods has a great selection of pillows and throws if you are in the market.
Cable Knit pillows are the perfect fall touch for a sofa or chair.
I don’t know how I feel about this slipcovered knit lamp but given the right room décor it could be pretty fabulous.
Classic and timeless!
A fun little accent and an easy DIY project too!
This collection from Pottery Barn is so perfect for the fall and holiday season. My favorite is the red and cream fair-isle knit blanket.
I really can’t tell you how much I’m loving this Sweater Weather floor tile from FLOR. Just imagine how great this must feel under your feet.
These images definitely have me longing for some time on the sofa especially since I’m feeling a bit under the weather at the moment. Unfortunately my down time won’t happen until Sunday evening but when the time comes you’ll find me under my cable knit blanket with a cup of tea!
So what do you think of this fall design trend? And more importantly do you have anything fun planned for the weekend?

Inspiration + Weekend Reading
Happy Saturday!
Taking inspiration from this photo, I’m spending the weekend finishing up all the organizing that’s been going on at my place. One of the areas I’m hitting this weekend is m closet. I have lots of folding, stacking and purging ahead of me. While I’m busy working it all out, here are a few great reads and bits of info you’ll want to check out.
Enjoy!

If you haven’t already discovered the new Vine app you’ll definitely want to check it out. This cool app allows you to record a short 6 second videos with ease (no editing required – you just hold down the screen to record a new clip and it ties them all together in the end) and then you share them to your feed just like Instagram. I think Instagram is cool but I am really loving this new app. You can follow me @ConfettiStyle. Leave me a link to your Vine and I’ll be sure to follow you back.
Pottery Barn has a new blog called Inside and Out and I think it’s pretty cool. Not only do they share inspiration images and information about their products but the site also showcases readers homes, weddings and events. And there is a section called Tips & Tricks where they share how-to tips on entertaining, decorating, DIYing and more.

6 New Reasons Why I Love Pottery Barn
Did you get the new Pottery Barn catalog in the mail? I got mine last night and immediately sat down and flipped through the pages. Wow, there are so many awesome new items that I am loving!
So over the top in love with this Cuisine Paper Towel Holder. And knowing me, I’d also try to find a way to use to as a gift wrap holder. Anyone know a company that makes small rolls of wrap??
The shape and hardware on the Jacquelyne Lidded Barrel Basket make it special.
The Arden Lockers would be such a cool piece for a kids room or basement.
Love the function and style of this adjustable Accordian Dual Kitchen Pendant.
This Ikat Drum lampshade is over the top gorgeous!
and this Wheel Barrel Bowl would be so fun to plan a summer party around.
I could go on and on with the items I love but I don’t want to spoil your adventure of flipping though the catalog.
Pottery Barn always seems to deliver a great selection of unique, stylish and adorable items to fit any décor style. As a designer, they are one of my go to sources for accessories and tabletop items.
P.S. You’ll love all the new bedding they just introduced and if Easter décor is your thing you’ll love all the rabbit themed pieces they have.
Enjoy the catalog and leave me a comment letting me know what items are your favorite.
