When we lived in Seattle, many of the neighborhoods there had a tradition of lining their driveways with luminaries on Christmas Eve. The candles would burn and flicker through the evening as the night turned to Christmas morning.
After moving to Atlanta, I’ve found that the idea of Christmas luminaries were reinterpreted through mini candle lights placed in each window of the home. As I’ve traveled over several southern states, this holiday symbol appears to be a true southern tradition.
Regardless of where you are in the world, there’s nothing more magical during the holidays than glowing candlelight, whether it’s indoors or out.
“Thousands of candles can be lit from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.
