All It Took Was Some Shaving Cream

A couple of years ago I was in need of new lipstick and decided to give Clinique a try. Afterall, they are one of the leading cosmetic brands out there, and they have affordable lipsticks, in a great range of colors.

So, off to the mall I went on the quest for my new lipstick.

I was really happy when I found the perfect color and was pleasantly surprised when I received the Clinique Bonus Buy just for making a purchase. The bonus buy consisted of a cute little cosmetic bag filled with a selection of Clinique products to try. Oh joy I thought to myself as I tucked the green and white cosmetic bag under my arm and headed home.

Little did I know at the time where that bonus buy was going to lead me….an obession with Clinique’s “cute little bonus-buy cosmetic bags”.

It seems that Clinique has drawn me into their web and has made it impossible for me to pass up their seasonal “bonus-buy” offers. They have developed some of the more adorable bags and the opportunity to try new products is always a lure. So, despite the fact that I really only use two Clinique products religiously, I count myself as a loyal Clinique customer because of the number of bonus buy bags I’ve racked up.

The current Clinique offer, available at Nordstrom, stopped me in my tracks the other day when I was in the mall. …A Trina Turk cosmetic bag. It just happens that I love all things Trina Turk.

I really wasn’t in the need for any new cosmetics, but I couldn’t that bag. I only had to spend $25 and the bag was mine.

I looked through all the Clinique products and decided to pick up some makeup remover ($18), but didn’t know what else to buy. So, I did what every upstanding wife would do and recruited the hubby to try some of the Clinique Men’s product. After all, a man with a beard needs a good shaving cream, right?

Needless to say, we hit our $25 spending goal and the Trina Turk bag is now apart of my ever-growing collection of Clinique Bonus-Buy bags. And, the hubby’s beard has never looked better!
