Color Crush: Black

Seem that I’m having a love affair with black these days, specifically in the form of BLACK SOFAS!

My initial thought with black sofas was one of doom and dreariness but after seeing more and more of them in design books and on-line, my view of black sofas is now chic and exotic.  A black sofa looks just a stylish with dark fall tone colors as it does with light summery shades.  My favorite color combo is a splash of brights with white.
Take a look at these images and then let me know what you think of black sofas?  To much drama or sophisticated style???

Black couches look beautiful in photos but they’re not practical for everyday use. They fade easily, show dust like you wouldn’t believe, and show lint and pet hair like crazy. My mom had a black couch in her living room. It became a huge dust bunny. My new couch in navy blue has the same problem. Looks great but it requires constant vacuuming and wipe-downs with damp cloths to remove the dust. Won’t go there again. I imagine red and cranberry couches would be equally as problemmatic.
