Roswell Antiques and Interiors

I recently discovered a new shopping destination here in Atlanta, specifically in Roswell, a small suburb of Atlanta.

Roswell Antiques and Interiors has only been open a few months and  is a quaint little store filled with beautiful antiques, collectibles and gifts.  Set up with small booths dedicated to each vendor, Roswell Antiques and Interiors has something offer for everyone!  I loved that within the mix of classic antique pieces there were beautiful hand painted pieces, a few handcrafted vintage inspired pieces and a small offering of new and handmade items.  The price points are good and the selections were plentiful.

Here’s a quick snapshot of what that have to offer (sorry for the blurry photos–my  photo hand was numb)!

 Beautiful vintage inspired decanter.

This old door turned mirrored door was stunning.

One of many hand painted furniture pieces.

I loved this antique carved wood letter holder.

A couple of old ottomans and benches upholstered in modern fabrics.

A vintage crate upcycled with a scrolled iron base.

 Beautiful art decor bar glasses!

A very cool vintage picnic case with antique can burners.

This painted  folding screen is a newer piece but has lots of vintage charm.

One of the booths had a great collection of handmade pillows!

A upcycled vintage inspired waste basket.

The chairs above and below are painted and upholstered by my friend Julie who has an upholstery and painted furniture workshop call The Upholstery Fashionista.

There were lots of silver plated items to be had like this antique ice bucket.

Lots of vintage china!

 An antique reproduction scale.

Antique platters perfect for creating a wall scape.

Vintage inspired jars and wall racks.

If you love to shop for Antiques and collections, the Roswell Antiques and Interiors store is worth a visit.  There website is under construction but you can find them on Facebook here!

Tablescapes to Admire

It’s been a while since I’ve done a post about beautiful tablescapes but since we are in the midst of wedding and party season, I thought I’d share a few of my latest tablescape inspirations!

Enjoy!

Mercury Glass is one of my favorite materials to incorporate into any type of decor.  When used a part of a table scape the entire table takes on a glamorous and chic feel.  Grouping different sizes and styles of vessels keeps the tablescape interesting and eclectic.

Sometimes simplicity is the best formula.  I love the theme of square elements used on this party table.. square menus, plates, candle and centerpiece.

One of the easiest ways to make your party table stand out is with an unexpected table-cloth option.  Consider fabric pieces, scarves or elaborate runners in multiples to add impact.

I so adore this look combining black and white with gold and a pop color.  The color combination are endless and the placemats are a great DIY project using gold tape!

Fruit is an inexpensive way to dress a table.  I love how the lemons are used to create a runner down the center of this table adding bold color and visual impact.

Paper Confetti is right up my alley!  What a fun way to add a really festive touch to a table.

We’re so use to seeing round charger plates so this table with square charger is so refreshing.  The clear plates allow the color to show through and help to keep the table feeling modern and classic.  Glass plates are so versatile and definitely an entertaining essential!

It has never crossed my mind to use decorative tiles to create a table runner…brilliant!

Creating a beautiful tablescape is one of the best parts of planning a party don’t you think?

I hope you found as much inspiration in these beautiful images as I did!

As someone who loves jewelry and just happens to have quite a few bracelets, this look was pretty easy for me to pull off.  For those of you new to this trend and on the cusp of joining the arm candy fun, I wanted to share a few things I’ve learned about pulling off this look…

I Dream Of…

Porch Swings and Lazy Afternoons!

Even before I moved from Seattle to the south (Atlanta), I dreamed of having a beautiful swing on my front porch.

A place to while away the afternoon where work or my to-do list don’t matter.

I dream of a place that is comforting…
