Scenes from the Weekend

I hope everyone had a great weekend.  Mine was fabulous and filled with lots of fun stuff.

My friend Dorothy and I attended the Country Living Fair and had a blast.  The weather was perfect and we saw lots of cool vintage and handcrafted treasures, got to learn a little about how each issue of Country Living magazine comes together and of course I bought a few vintage treasures to add to my necklace designs.  I’ll share more of our adventure later in the week.

And on a little side note…remember when I told you a couple of weeks ago that I had a surprise involving Country Living?  Well, I’m so thrilled to announce that one of my necklaces will be featured in the December issue!  I’m excited, honored and blessed and can’t wait to see my necklace in print.  The December/Christmas issue will be on newsstands mid-November so be sure to pick up a copy!

This was the weekend of my friend Suenette’s annual Halloween party and as usual, it was a party to remember.  Amazing decor, a bon-fire, yummy chili to eat and “the recipe” to drink!  I’ll share more of the visual delight tomorrow.

I also took a trip to Target and spotted a few great pieces like this double drawer black side table above.  So cute and 30% off too!

I added a new, but old design book to my book collection which was gifted to me by my friend Tina.  Although Nate’s Home Rules is older, it’s an amazing book and I love it!

I stopped by one of my favorite flea markets and saw this adorable owl needlepoint wall hanging.  I didn’t get it, but should have.  It would look so cute as part of a gallery wall.

I woke up Sunday morning with a bit of a sore throat and spent a little extra time in bed catching up on mags and blog reading!  Here are a few things I discovered…

Part of my journey is working to be the best version of myself.  This article helped me move closer to that.

I discovered a new source for beautiful clutch handbags.

After seeing this spray paint in action at the Country Living Fair I had to learn more about it.  Amazing stuff!

One of the things on my bucket list is to write a book and this blog post from Miss Mustard Seed added to my source of inspiration!

My brother, who is very successful and driven sent me some great articles that are worth reading.  How to Measure Your Life is one to check out.

The week ahead is going to be a busy one.  I can’t believe November and holiday decorating are just around the corner!

No wonder you’re sick…you were super busy but everything sounds super fun! I loved the fair when I went last year…if only it were closer. 🙂 Hope you feel better soon.
