Taking Stock

I’ve seen post like this on a few blogs and was really inspired to do my version of Taking Stock after seeing Tiffany’s thoughts on her blog Savor Home. Because the focus of my blog is all about providing you with design and entertaining ideas and tips, creative diy projects and gift wrapping ideas and my take on fashion, I don’t typically share the ins and outs of my life with you.  Taking time to reflect as I wrote this post makes me want to share more of what I dream about, hope for, work at and aspire to do so I’ll plan to do more of that in future post.  What follows is just a beginning glimpse inside my world.
Making : 150 paper hearts and 24 centerpieces for a non-profit event.
Cooking : Banana Nut Bread.  It goes great with hot cocoa this time of year.
Drinking : Sparkling Ice Black Raspberry. Addicted!
Reading:  Every Christmas magazine I can get my hands on.
Wanting: A vacation at the beach. I desperately need some sand between my toes!
Looking: Forward to seeing  my mom at Christmas!
Playing: Way too much Angry Bird (and I said I’d never play that game).
Wasting: Money on pretty paper napkins…but they make we happy!
Sewing: Pillows and two new clutch handbags.
Wishing: For a new kitten (we’re waiting until after the holidays).
Enjoying: My DVR.  It’s feels good to know I didn’t miss any of my favorite shows.
Waiting: Anxiously to begin decorating for Christmas.
Liking: This beautiful office chair.
Wondering: What 2014 is going to bring my way.
Loving: That I fulfilled a dream by opening my store.
Hoping: For a full month of sleeping through the night.  Insomnia sucks!
Marveling: At the fact that I actually like doing laundry.
Needing: To write a book.  It’s on my bucket list.
Smelling: Nouvelle Crepe Myrtle candle…my absolute favorite scent!
Wearing: My dad’s wedding band.  It feels good to know he’s close to me everyday.
Following: This blog because I love everything this woman does!
Noticing: The I still feel like I’m 30 even though I’m so not.
Knowing: That I need to clean out my craft closet. Ugh!
Thinking: About a big Christmas décor project.  Callanwolde here I come!
Feeling: Grateful and Blessed!
Bookmarking: This site so I don’t miss getting tickets for 2014.
Opening: Doors to possibilities.
Giggling:  Over that GEICO commercial where the farmer spells COW, Coweieio and then says Dag Nabit.  Cracks me up every time!
Feeling: HAPPY to have such wonderful friends in my life.
Regretting:  Nothing but learning and growing from every experience I encounter!
