Treasure Hunting–Scott Antique Market Jan. 2013

The first Scott Antique Market of 2013 took place last weekend.  While I didn’t spend a lot of time at the show I did manage to snap a few pics of items that caught my attention and my heart.  After arriving home and flipping through the pictures I noticed a trend…I’m apparently lusting after Weathered, Worn, Washed Out and Rustic.  Come along on my treasuring hunting trip!

I spied this beautiful fabric at one of the booths.  How great would this look on a chair or ottoman?

Jan 2013 (3)

This chair was beyond beautiful with an all wood back and frame.  Such casual elegance.

Jan 2013 (4)

I loved this chair with a mix of line and burlap.  I make sure to stop by this vendor each month to see what’s new.  They always impress and I love that the pieces are all made in the USA.

A jumbled pile of rustic goodness.  So many cool accent pieces to choose from.

Jan 2013 (7)

This was a new vendor showing some incredible embroidered curtain panels.  Reminds me of the new line that Mary McDonald created for Schumacher.

This leather upholstered cabinet was stunning.

Jan 2013 (12)

If I still had my store I’d be all over this rustic display cabinet.

Loved these ottomans, especially the shape!  The patterned style ottoman in the photo is their best selling shilouette and the guys working  the booth were wrapping those up coming and going.

Jan 2013 (14)

A great accent piece that could be used in so many ways in a home.

Jan 2013 (15)

Vintage Olive Oils Jars wrapped in wicker.  Very well priced between $25 and $40

Jan 2013 (16)

These dough bowls were enormous and fantastically priced at $55 to $85.  I haven’t seen them this well priced in years.  I would have bought one if I didn’t already have one in my stash.

Jan 2013 (17)

And this little gem of a settee all dolled up in linen.

Next month I plan to spend a bit more time at Scott Antique and hope to uncover some new treasures.

p.s.  I did buy a couple of lamp shades from a vendor that sells all different styles and sizes for just $15.00 each.  That my friends is a great deal!

p.p.s.  I did find some other treasures while out shopping over the weekend and will share those with your tomorrow.

I was trying to decide whether or not I should go this week and after reading your post it is definite! Any suggestions on particular vendors I should visit (like the one with that upholstered cabinet)? I am shopping for dining room chairs and other furnishings, also curtains. Thanks for the inspiration

You have made my day! We do Brimfield every year and it is such a long winter waiting for the May show! Thanks for a taste of the Markets to come! I will eagerly await your post next month. I think the booth with the hides on the floor belongs to a friend of mine!

If I didnt read the whole post I would have thought you took a trip to the South of France……Looks like a great source right here in the states. Thanks for sharing.
