If you follow my Pinterest boards you know that one of my favorite things to pin are inspirational quotes. The quotes that I pin are words that resonate with me and provide a source of inspiration, strength, wisdom or a gentle reminder of what’s important in life. I went on a pinning binge that other night and found several new quotes that hit home. I’m sharing them with you today in case you need a virtual hug, a gentle reminder or a spark of inspiration. Be inspired!
It has taken me many years to realize just how true this statement is. Early in my life and career, I recognized moments of uncomfort but brushed it off thinking that I just needed to work harder or go about life a little differently. What I didn’t acknowledge was how my felt inside, my spirit and my soul. Once I learned to settle my mind and listen to my inner being, I was able to recognize what my soul was telling me. To grow and be the best that I could be, I needed to let go of the negative forces and people around me and most importantly I needed to find the true value in myself, my talents and my abilities. When you feel uncomfortable in life, take the time to be still, listen and move in the direction that God is pushing you. And remember this, “Sometimes God doesn’t give you what you think you want, not because you don’t deserve it, but because you deserve much more.”
This has to be one of my all-time favorite quotes and I believe whole heartedly in these words. If you were to ask any of my family or friends, they would tell you that I am a glass half full kinda of person. Yes I have bad days and moments of struggle but I know that my mindset and attitude in dealing with those moments makes all the difference in moving past that and reaching my goals. Don’t let your struggles weigh you down, instead tap into your strengths and abilities and develop and attitude of success instead of an attitude of defeat.
Here’s something you may not know about me, I’m a pretty impulsive person and I’m up for most adventures (with the exception of jumping out of a plane). It’s not uncommon for me to wake up on a Saturday morning and tell my husband to get dressed because we’re hitting the road. He just gives me that look and ask where we’re going. Sometimes I tell him and other times I leave him wondering until we get to our destination. I love exploring new place, learning about new things and creating new experiences in my life. As a child, I spent every summer exploring the US via car. We traveled to see places like the Grand Canyon, Yellow Stone Park and Reptile Gardens in South Dakota. Traveling at a young age and then as an adult has opened my mind up to all that life has to offer. Allow yourself to be adventurous and your life will be richly enhanced.

Next week is going to be a crazy one. I got called back for more jury duty questioning, for a big case here in Atlanta and I have my fingers crossed that I don’t get picked. In anticipation of a busy week, I’ve completed two design plans early, I’ve written all my blog post for the week ( I’ve got some good ones for you) and a new stack of magazines is ready to accompany me to the court house!
